Mai, who has been withdrawn since her mother's death, spends her days playing games and sleeping. Her father is worried about his daughter's habits but he doesn't know how to deal with it and asks for advice online.

"Cutting-edge technology" and "things that haven't changed" coexist in this depopulated town. Takumi, an eighth-year junior high school student, felt it strange that the adults in his town treated the android made in his mother's image as the real thing. However, only Hana, his homeroom teacher, was different from the other adults.

In January 2020, Sae Kawakubo was busy with the deadline for a one-man play script. Then, suddenly, another person who claims to be herself appears. Where did she come from and why did she appear?

Akiko is a girl who has a modest and shy personality, but wants to be loved by everyone. At first she tries to become an idol, but she isn't popular and gets frustrated. Then Akiko, who has turned 30, looks for another outlet for approval and gets the courage to apply for a job as a virtual YouTuber. This is a youth movie set in the world of modern self-realization of "Vtubers". The heroine Akiko sways between her own potential and evaluating others, with a reciprocal relationship and desire for approval while supporting and being supported by others.
