Late 19th century in Alexandria. Two traditionally rival Turkish families, "Seferoglu"s and "Tellioglu"s are competing for the "Green Valley". The winner will be determined by Daver Bey, who has a beautiful young daughter, Leyla. Both families try to arrange a marriage between a man from their family and Leyla, so that Daver Bey will be inclined to give the green valley to his "relatives". Tellioglus, who are behind in the race, desperately find a final solution: They will fake their idiotic butler, Saban, as the highest ranked Ottoman soldier in Egypt: Tosun Pasha.

The life of Afife Jale, the first Turkish female theater artist, is recounted. Since childhood, Afife has been a free-spirited girl who loves her freedom. With the support of her grandfather, the Pasha, and her childhood friend and lover, Dr. Ziya, Afife stood up to her father. She could not suppress her desire for much longer.

A man and woman meet during the identification of their spouses' dead bodies, following a car accident. It turns out that the they had an affair with each other. Feelings like jealousy, shame, wrath that struck them at the beginning, leave their place to understanding. The man and the woman start seeing each other. First, they hesitate to start an affair, yet later they cannot control their feelings. They unite in a love affair, not caring about the values and judgments of the people around them.

Cemal, who went to Germany, leaves his wife with his conservative family. The young woman, who is under great pressure, looks for economic freedom and ends up in a brothel and starts working there. Cemal, on the other hand, is given a gun and said to his wife, "Clean your honor," despite his family. He takes off his wedding ring and gives it to the food, he says "Tell Him I Love You".
