Biography
Born in 2000, Lennert Madou is a director and photographer from Antwerp, Belgium. In 2024, he obtained a Master’s degree in film directing from the Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound in Brussels. As a photographer, he works mainly in high-end fashion and the music industry. With his previous short film High Jump (2021, a third-year student film at RITCS School of Arts), Lennert showcased his first live-action project, which after many international selections also received a jury award at the Palm Springs ShortFest.

Otto lives in a remote village, where he spends his time with his two best friends. Yet Otto deals with a constant absence. For a while now Ottos’s boyfriend, Casimir, who is a professional dancer, has been living a thousand miles away to work on his dancing career. Meanwhile, Otto finds comfort in his lover’s movements and uses his own body to fight against the ongoing distance.
