Early 80’s. A group of criminal’s spreads terror across the Algarve with more than 20 bank robberies. The gang is led by a man they call "The Doctor" and a carpenter who earns the nickname of "The Cowboy". Captured and sentenced to 18 years in prison he becomes the protagonist of the bloodiest escape in Portuguese prison history.

Accused of adultery, Ana Augusta Plácido and Camilo Castelo Branco were imprisoned for more than a year in the Porto Prison, she in June 1860, he in October of the same year, after an adventurous escape from justice through the lands of the North.

Lisbon, 1980s, Rosa, a woman joins a group of young people disappointed at the post-Revolutionary Portugal. Part of a far-left clandestine armed organization, they share political views and a daily life that makes them grow closer. But their idealism collides head-on with a changing country and a large-scale police operation targeting them. Fleeing on a road with no return and no way forward, their existence is made up of bank robberies, bombs, friendships, prison, love and death. Trapped, their only choice is to keep on the run until they get arrested or killed.

Eloquent and at the same time sententious and fragile, but implausible among humanized gods, demigods, heroes, and other pagan figures of Greek mythology, who question, through the imaginary of myths, the society of contemporary man. Five young people explore new perspectives and experiences in marginal Lisbon. As they seek to integrate into an established social structure, at night they walk on the ground where all their inner impulses flow.

Peri works as a debt collector for a loan shark in downtown Rio de Janeiro. One day, after making a serious mistake at work, he is sent out of Brazil. It is during his journey to his new country, Portugal, that he meets Abgail, a woman who helps him calm down. In Lisbon, Peri starts working for “The Tailcoat Collector”, a curious debt collection company whose job is to follow debtors dressed in tailcoats, intimidating them into paying their debts. Peri is always very successful until the moment he is called to collect from Abgail, the woman he met on the plane and with whom he will fall madly in love.
