Shot in dark colours and with an atmospheric treatment, the narrative is sketchy but the plot revolves around Koswara, a driver for Kardiman. Koswara’s brothers and sisters-in-law trade his wife, Aisah, to Kardiman, until his wife goes insane and dies. Agus Herman, son of Kardiman, is as brutal as his father and Mrs. Kardiman, also has an impure background. Her daughter, Nana, who is born without knowledge of her biological father, is almost raped by her stepfather, Kardiman. It is also suggested that Mrs. Kardiman desires Koswara. An experiment from Indonesian directing legend, Teguh Karya, that was not entirely successful.

Little Roy experienced a series of trials. After his father died, who was killed by his mother, his mother was also in prison. He was raised by his maid who later also died. He moved to an orphanage and here he enjoyed his luxurious youth. He was like the ideal modern boy who was handsome, liked by many girls, naughty but did not forget to make pilgrimages and do good deeds. It was there that he fell in love with Siska who turned out to be his own younger sister.

The title “Hurricane and Storm”, is seemingly a translation from Sturm und Drang, a psychological term for puberty or a transition period for an individual's mental state. Kaslan is a conservative and honest bank clerk, while his wife, Miah, is more liberal in terms of discipline. Kaslan is strict with his daughters, Wati and Tina. It makes Wahab afraid to approach the girl of his dream, Wati, since Kaslan always escorts her wherever she goes. Wahab is also jealous by Wati's favourite English teacher and he tries to hang himself when she falls in love with a singer. When the singer rejects Wati, she returns to Wahab. Tina reveals all to her father but before he can scold her, she leaves the house, and returns home only much later. But mother explains about the puberty that Wati is going through. In turn, Wahab also learns to understand Kaslan's reason for his strictness. Then they both graduate from high school.

The film tells a story about the problems that come from playing “judi buntut” (a type of lottery gambling). People start to think and act irrationally. In the end the police comes to set things straight.

Three bachelors establish a service center for women, initially intended for sex, but instead it becomes a multi-purpose service agency. There is a grandmother who asks them to read comic books to her; there is also a woman who wants them to wash her carpets. But one of them always gets the most enjoyable part, which is the sex service for lonely women, or even to torture them by request. He also gets a girlfriend, who lives in Singapore, and accepts his profession.

Twins Arwin (Alex) and Irwan (Yacob) live separately for the sake of their respective careers. The two end up both falling in love with Maya (Joice Erna), who tries to play both sides and finds herself accidentally pregnant with no idea which of the twins is the actual father.
