In 1995, during the Angolan civil war, Nayola sets out in search of her missing husband.

Over 50 animators from 19 countries collaborated to support Belarusians in their peaceful protests for fair elections and freedom. The animators offered their interpretation of the recent events in Belarus, creating the animated chronicles of these dramatic events. The white-red-white flag is a historical symbol of Belarus and has become a symbol of peace, protest, and hope for the people of Belarus. The youngest animator who participated in the project is only 12 years old.

It tells the story of the director's relationship with Ali, a young man who fled the war in Somalia at the age of fourteen. Their meeting in a Ukrainian prison in 2012 causes a turning point in Ali's life.

The refugee, the fled, the persecuted. The hidden, the migrant, the foreigner. The newcomer, seen with distrust, looks of fear and suspicion. In this evocative sand animation by filmmaker Pedro Serrazina, shadows, contrasts and a disturbing sound construction relive ancestral prejudices of the other, so ancient and so present. Clandestine words, whispered phrases, memories written on winter nights by candlelights.
