11-year old Sashka is spending his summer at his grandma's together with his elder brother, and they both happen to fall for the same girl.

Father Herman serves at the Nikolskaya Church in Taganrog. He regularly visits refugee centers for those fleeing Ukraine, offering comfort and support. Pavel, who grew up in an orphanage, is one of the displaced people living there, hoping to start a new life in Taganrog. Father Herman believes his charges will eventually return home, while Pavel aims to build a new future.

Alexey, still a young man, found himself in an extremely difficult situation. He must devote most of his time to his mother, who is almost completely paralyzed after a stroke. His situation is aggravated by the fact that his mother, once an actress in a small provincial theater, no longer sees the point of living.
