Nobuyuki Yamagishi

Summer 1984. An image of when I visited Sapporo, Otaru etc. And my parents hometown. I'm shooting only girls (shame ...).

The novelist Sawai enjoyed seeing the mirage on the Kugenuma Coast with his wife and friends as a breather for work. However, the headache of the having a disease occurred frequently as usual, and various illusions and hallucinations which seemed to invade from the mischief of the sand of the coast or the crack of daily life were seen, and an ominous event was encountered.

A culmination of the 80's, but after shooting in 1986, mr. Yamagishi left the film for seven years, and finally completed it in 1993 and screened it only once.

In 1984, I took a picture in a production training work of the Tokyo Photography College Department of Film Arts, when a teacher told me to take something with the theme of "light". A student work.

A confrontation unfolds in Asakusa between the detective Shimozuke Tokageya Kumo and Dr. Caligari, the Monster Man. Suspect and shady characters, the severed head of a laughing woman, a battle with a ten-armed giant, chases in the fish market, and much more to see! Actors from the "Crazy Jap" theatre troupe participated in large numbers, providing support. Furthermore, the powerful drumming that backs the heavy voice of the star Kōji Nakase is played by Koichi Kitazawa of the "Machida Eizō + Kitazawa Gumi."

Koji had a thriving general store in the family business and was about to marry Fujiko, the daughter of a business tycoon. He went to talk to his lonely father about whether he should invite his friend to Korea for a wedding, but he tossed Koji with his dissocting remarks and deeds. Has my father gone crazy? And what is the "judgment" that father sentences Koji?

Blues singer Nakase enters a bar, invited by the melody of the piano that echoes in the lonely dark night...

It's a work that I didn't originally think about showing to people, so I wonder if this is all right ... I can't help it anymore.

At the bar, three office workers enjoyed drinking alcohol and discussing their views on life. Eventually, Sawai, who got drunk, began to talk about the daily events he spent with a strange woman he met in the graveyard a few months ago.
