Roy P. Cheverton

A young schoolteacher and her two female friends rent a vacation house on an island. While exploring the island, the teacher runs into a handsome young man who tells her is actually a "merman" from the sea, and tries to convince her to go back to the sea with him.

Doria leaves home after being raped and deflowered by her stepmother's boyfriend while her stepmother drunkenly watched. She is picked up on the highway by Jackie, a lesbian whose tenderness contrasts with Doria's recent experience. Doria then meets two artists, Tee Jay and Julio, who use her as their model and introduce her to a bohemian life of parties and such drugs as marijuana and LSD.
