After her father suddenly passes away 27 year old Hanuka Shinomiya finds herself the inexperienced owner of her late fathers talent management company. After the company staff quit Hanuka is left with just one client, a 48 year old one hit wonder singer named Ryuji Sakuraba who hasn't seen success since 1999. With no other clients and a box of Ryuii's unsold CD's, the two embark on a promotional Japanese tour where they stay at "shabby" hotels and experience the delights of discount dining.

A cabaret club in a provincial city. Driver Kitano Yuki works as the personal driver for the top cabaret club hostess Sugimoto Natsuki. One day, he clashes with the manager over Natsuki's absence without permission. Yuki visits Natsuki and finds out that it is the 49th day memorial service for her mother who passed away. Natsuki has sorted out her feelings, and Yuki suggests that they quit the club together and leave the town in the kitchen car that the manager borrowed for the shuttle service.
