Biography
John Valle is a freelance cinematographer based out of Brooklyn, NY. Valle has worked various positions in the camera and electric department for clients such as HBO (Reality starring Sydney Sweeney and the Tribeca-premiering documentary A Revolution on Canvas), PBS (the Emmy-nominated Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame), IFC (Tina Romero’s Queens of the Dead starring Katy O’Brien, Jack Haven, and Riki Lindhome), Shudder (hit streaming series The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs), Glass Eye Pix (Larry Fessenden’s Fantasia-premiering Blackout and Fantastic Fest premiering Crumb Catcher), and Vinegar Syndrome (Fantasia premiere Black Eyed Susan), as well as the Fangoria Chainsaw award-nominated Brooklyn Horror Film Festival premiere Cannibal Mukbang. Valle has also worked on music videos for artists such as Thee OH Sees, Keiyaa, U.S Girls, and Water From Your Eyes under labels such as Matador Records, 4AD, XL, Roadrunner, and Castleface Records. Valle’s work has been written about in publications such as Rue Morgue, Pitchfork, Stereogum, and Flood Magazine, as well as being showcased on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Graduating from the School of Visual Arts with a degree in film, Valle also holds a certificate of study from the ASC in Cinematography.
