Biography
Luo Luo was born in Miyi County, Sichuan Province in 1962 and has lived here until now. Like most women of the same age, she married and worked, raised children, took care of her parents, and retired home. In 2019, she participated in the Caochangdi mail group to communicate together, and started to learn video shooting and editing in early 2020 to create her first film.
Known For

Luo Luo’s intense fear of Covid-19 keeps her in the house during the pandemic. She listens to her father relate their family history, and spends time on Zoom with fellow Folk Memory Project members Wu Wenguang and Zhang Mengqi.
Luo Luo’s Fear
Luo Luo looks after her father and granddaughter while she fingers the pages of a diary from her teenage years. “The joy of expression” overflows in her home as she connects with friends and gets her family involved even while they are shut-in due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Luo Luo's Youth
Luo Luo entrusts her camera to her seven-year-old granddaughter, Manman. Through her eyes, the interior of their small home comes to glitter like jewels in a treasure box. We learn once again how to partake in the endless joy of the world.
