Helsinki in the summer is shown differently through the eyes of the homicide unit detectives, Timo Harjunpää and Onerva Nykänen; painting a picture of the city where people are not safe in the streets or not even in their own homes. In the midst of the hard crimes it is impossible not to feel the constant worry about your own family while being afraid of losing touch with your children.

Anu sees Heloisa regularly in her practice, who, whenever falls in love, begins to suffer from cruel and tormenting obsessions towards her beloved. Heloisa's twisted psyche fascinates Anu in ways she does not fully understand - professionally and personally. But one day, Heloisa abruptly stops therapy. A midsummer party with a couple of friends is interrupted when Anu's son Antti arrives with his new girlfriend - who is Heloisa. Anu is forced to confront her own limitations and the painful memories of Heloisa's therapy relationship, which reveal an obsessive bond between them that threatens to destroy everything.

The life of Juulia, a Finnish parliamentarian, is suddenly turned upside down by the discovery of the betrayal by her husband Matias, a Protestant pastor, with the young Enni. After an initial moment of anger and desperation, Juulia realizes that she cannot leave him and she understands that sometimes it is possible to sacrifice a part of one's individual happiness for the good of the people you love. For this reason she suggests to Matias that they open their relationship, a choice that will lead her to meet Miska, a young non-binary, who is also her girlfriend, and to experiment with polyamory naturally and spontaneously, with all the consequences of the case, positive and negative.

Tuomo, who works as a taxi driver, has buried her mother Laila last week. However, there is not too much time to grief because Tuomo's father Kalevi waits for him in a retirement home just outside the city. Because of Kalevi's dementia, he imagines himself to be the late king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. He dresses, moves and has the same gestures as the idol of his youth. Tuomo is maintaining his relationship with his father by taking him every Sunday to a nearby karaoke bar where Kalevi performs as Elvis. Playing along with his father's imaginary world feels this time too heavy on Tuomo. In mixed emotions, he tries to make his father understand the death of his mother. The consequences are nearly fatal.
