Cagliari. It is the day before Christmas Eve in 1985 when the owner of a wine shop is killed with three gunshots for a few hundred thousand lire. The judiciary needs a culprit, the city needs illusory security. A few days after the murder, Aldo is arrested. His crime is his past as a heroin addict, which is well known to the police, who accuse him on the basis of flimsy and specious evidence.
