1937 Warsaw, Poland. The Jewish mafia rules the city. Head honcho is gangster socialist, Buddy Kaplica. His right-hand man, boxer, Jakub Szapiro who dreams of taking over Buddy's top spot as King of Warsaw.

It's the story of two slightly crazy guys who are forced to leave their town, where the annual Gooseberry Days celebration is the biggest attraction, and go to London for work. To say, however, that the tour doesn't go according to plan would be a very mild description of what happens next. The protagonists get separated at the very beginning as a result of a gnarled party. The journey that follows is woven with a plethora of marvelous characters. The viewer will find among them: truckers, gypsy camper traders, anarchist squatters, recidivists hiding from the Polish justice system or go-go club employees.

The story of Eugeniusz Bodo, a famous Polish actor and singer, who was at the peak of his career in 1930s.

At their beloved grandfather’s funeral wake, the family learns his lifelong lottery numbers just won, but the winning ticket lies in his jacket buried three meters underground. Racing against time and grief, they and his friends desperately try to exhume him one last time to reclaim the fortune.

In the 1990s, eight-year-old Agata leaves her Polish homeland to take a bus to Belgium by herself. Anxious about the journey, she begins to write a letter to her father who has stayed behind in Poland. When she drops her pencil and it rolls away, Agata is forced to overcome her shyness. Searching for it, she weaves her way between the rows of seats and plunges into a fantastical world inhabited by strange half-human, half-animal passengers. Agata’s perceptions transform the reality of migration into an imaginative experience of initiation.

A simple accountant, Jan, due to unfortunate circumstances, becomes a double murderer, sending to the other world an unfaithful wife and her lover. The video recording of the killing lands, by accident in the hands of Kacper, an employee at a video rental. Kacper and his girlfriend decide to blackmail the killer.

In desperation, he returns home, only to find his dying mother has replaced him with a farm hand from a nearby mental institution. Alienated and depressed, he attempts to find his place in the world by driving out his replacement as completely as possible.
