River of intrigues is a historic town with beautiful landscape and a river where people practice sports. Despite its beautiful scenery, the city`s main asset is its different inhabitants. Intrigue, confusion and a lot of passion heat up / warm up the plot. Everything in this quiet town is transformed with the arrival of a mega-project, which causes an impact on all aspects of social life of each resident.

Antunes Filho's TV adaptation of Consuelo de Castro's play "Implosão" where the author draws a parallel between the first implosion of a building in São Paulo, the Mendes Caldeira building, in November 1975, and the collapse of a marriage, suffocated by economic needs and relationship problems that end up leading them from a progressive separation to a loneliness as a couple.
Drama teacher and writer of soap operas keeps his frustrating marriage because he doesn't have the existencial courage to get divorced. But he meets a temperamental and rich student, with whom he engages in a neurotic relationship.
