Moscow, 2020. The media warn that a dangerous meteorite will soon sweep near the Earth at great speed. But the wealthy restaurateur Vadim does not care, so he does not change his plans and hurries to celebrate the purchase of a new establishment. Fourteen-year-old Ivan runs away from an orphanage to pursue his dream at a pioneer camp he learned about on the news. The Artek International Children's Center has always been a land of sunshine and loud laughter, but these camps will be special. While an obsessed astronomy professor scours the surrounding area in search of a fallen meteorite for long-awaited glory, inexplicable things begin to happen at the camp. One by one, the most active children turn into "shadows": they lose interest in games, friends, and life, sinking into a frightening apathy. Spring 1941. The peaceful life of three friends, two Sergeys and Ekaterina, from a small village in Kuban is interrupted by a sudden declaration of war and the landing of fascists in the Caucasus. The guys in love with Ekaterina volunteer to join the partisans, and she stays in the village and asks them to return quickly. Not far from these places, the Germans organize a warehouse with ammunition. The commander of the partisan detachment receives an order to destroy the enemy and blow up the warehouse. Two Sergeys are sent on a dangerous mission.

1944, Artek. The girl Nadia, along with the children of the German captain, paints ribbons for the wish tree. The Germans do not want to surrender Crimea, but Vera Nadezhda lights the red banner of Soviet soldiers on Mount Ayu-Dag, predicting the enemy's imminent defeat.
