Biography
After studying literature and film, Mélissandre Carrasco joined the editing section of CinéFabrique in 2016. She has completed several projects, including her graduation film En apnée, which premiered at the Écrans Mixtes festival in 2020. She was also assistant editor on Tout s’est bien passé (Everything Went Fine) by François Ozon and L’Innocent (The Innocent) by Louis Garrel. She then joined the CinéFabrique incubator. Her short film Contre le silence was selected for the Off-Courts festival in Trouville. She is currently developing several short films with Les Films des Turbulents, as well as directing music videos for artists.

It is a love letter to Beirut, spanning 70 years of film, TV, home videos, and photography, exploring the Lebanese collective psyche – marked by joy and intimacy, destruction and loss. Through the eyes of citizens, filmmakers and artists, the film reconstructs a fragmented history in a country without a national archive, celebrating creative expression as both resistance, renewal and a way to preserve memory.
