Biography
Ekaterine (Keko) Chelidze is a young Georgian director and scriptwriter. She studied Film and Television Directing at the Tbilisi State University and since 2012 has been working with the production company 'Parachute Films' as a writer, director, assistant director, and consultant. In 2016, Ekaterine completed her first short documentary ‘Better Than Dog’ and in 2017 her co-written script for Kote Kalandadze’s feature fiction film ‘The Drummer’ won 1st place at the Georgian National Film Center's debut film competition. In 2018-19 Ekaterine was awarded national support for three feature films as a writer and/or director. Having recently completed her debut feature documentary 'Dead Souls' Vacation’, Ekaterine is in financing stage with her debut feature fiction film 'No More'.

Better Than Dog

Niko is a promising young musician. He looks at life with hope and dreams of owning his own drum-set. When a charismatic drug dealer Kogo appears in Niko’s life, he finds himself in the middle of a drug distribution and corrupt police feud. There comes a moment for Niko when he begins to reassess his life.
