Biography
Lauren Laniece Lake is an American family lawyer, author, interior designer, real estate developer, background singer, legal/relationship/life consultant, guest host, television judge, and talk show presenter. Lake has performed in guest hosting and news anchoring positions for various talk shows and reality legal programs. In much of her guest hosting, she has tackled controversial racial, ethnic, gender, and political issues head-on. She was the host of HGTV's how-to series Spice Up My Kitchen. Lake is best known for arbitrating as the presiding judge over her own tabloid talk/nontraditional courtroom series, Lauren Lake's Paternity Court. The series ran 7 seasons, and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award five times, including a win in 2019. Lake will return to courtroom programming, taking over the revival of We the People in her own edition We the People with Judge Lauren Lake. The series will return in the fall 2022, produced by Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios.

truTV Presents: World's Dumbest... is a cable television series produced by Meetinghouse Productions, Inc. and is airing on truTV. Originally known as World's Dumbest Criminals, it is a weekly countdown that takes a comedic look at 20 half-witted and offbeat events caught on camera and sometimes by 911 dispatchers. These events are now broken down into topics such as Criminals, Drivers, Daredevils, Partiers, etc. and features commentary from B to C-list comedians and writers such as Jared Logan, Chris Fairbanks, Kevin McCaffrey, Jaime Andrews, Brendon Walsh, Ted Jessup, Brad Loekle, Daisy Gardner, Billy Kimball, Mike Trainor, John Enos, Jamie Lee, Rachel Feinstein, Mike O'Gorman, Amanda Landry, and Gilbert Gottfried. Because the series' original focus was on criminals bungling their acts of crime, commentary used to rely heavily on celebrities who have been known for their own past brushes with the law, including Danny Bonaduce, Leif Garrett, Tonya Harding, Todd Bridges, Daniel Baldwin, and Gary Busey. Often times, and when video clips have no audio track, sound effects and mock commentators are added to enhance the humor of the events.

Designer Lauren Lake and her carpenter duo, Jeff Devlin and Mark McGraw, take kitchens that the homeowners think are outdated or ugly, tear them down and rebuild them from scratch -- providing the homeowners with brand-new kitchens. Designer Lauren Lake presents the homeowners with two design plans based on their budget and wish list. The homeowners choose a plan then before they know it, their old kitchen is transformed into a delicious new space.
