Directing
The story follows Vijaykumar (Shivarajkumar), a college boy who falls in love with his classmate, Sudha (Vidyashree). Their romance hits a major roadblock when Vijaykumar discovers that Sudha's family has a long-standing, bitter dispute with his own family.
Trouble ensues when Chandru and his brother, Sundaru, return to their native place and their envious aunt tries to fix Sundaru's marriage with her daughter to gain his wealth.

Shruthi Seridaga is based on the novel by Kumuda. It busts the myth of Astrology. Astrology Charts mention first wife of Dr Murthy (played by Dr Rajkumar) would die within an year of marriage. The movie stars Rajkumar, Anant Nag and Saritha. The film is based on the novel Mrigathrushna by Ashwini. This climax of the movie inspired a similar sequence in the 1999 Hindi movie Mann and its Telugu remake Ravoyi Chandamama.
