A village nestled in the mountains. Winter is harsh, Jules is struggling, and his only sun is Bachir. The two men love each other, yet Jules is suffering: his father, with whom he lives, is going through an insoluble grief and is lost in his delusions. It's time for Jules to accept that one cannot bend ties to one's will alone. Relationships fade while love, sometimes, remains.

A film like spring, a bittersweet coming-of-age tale that feels very real in a joie-de-vivre way. This is a film about complex relations and about celebrating freedom, told as a nature-saturated love story with secret doors that sometimes even creek when closed, with everyone bathed in that special kind of light from that sun that only seems to shine for adolescents.
