The story revolves around an Indian police informant who is raised by a family of Pakistani descent. As the movie unravels, it is revealed that the informant's parents are terrorists.

Based on the novel of same name by K. Shivaram Karanth. Sarasamma, a woman who lost her life in the practice of Sati, is worshiped by women in troubled relationships. The movie shows the stories centered to these women and societal issues faced by them.

Story of a convict on death row, who escapes from prison and accidentally ends up with a veteran who is called upon by the authorities to teach the process of hanging a convict to the new staff.

Janapada tells the story of folk singer Chandranna, who feels that singing and entertaining people is better than any recognition from the government. His singing attracts many people including a city-bred girl who decides to stay in the village to be close to him. Meanwhile, Chandranna receives an award from the government, which makes him a target of envy. The village head, priest and a rival singer plot to defame the singer by spreading rumours about him. They even impose a ban on the singer to keep him away from the public.

Excited about their grandson's visit, an elderly couple plan to cook chicken curry for dinner. But, things begin to fall apart when the chicken goes missing.
