Biography
Mykola Zasieiev is a Ukrainian director and screenwriter. He graduated from Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (Filmmaking) in 2017. While still a student, he started working with prominent Ukrainian TV and film production studios as a scriptwriter, 1st AD, and acting coach. He has also made several student works released at local film festivals. Phase (2021), his short fiction debut, premiered at Molodist IFF in Kyiv in May 2021, and since then, has been in numerous film festivals. His sophomore short fiction film, Easter Day (2025), premiered at Riga IFF. Currently, he is working on a feature debut, Dawn Chorus.
