After graduating from middle school, Li Da Bao directly went looking for a job to support his family since his father died early. Now he’s responsible for repairing the machines in a textile factory. When Zhang Duo Duo, a performer in a song and dance troupe, goes to a spinning and weaving workshop, her hair gets stuck and Li Da Bao is the one to save her. He accompanies her to the song and dance troupe to report the incident, but accidentally bumps into Duo Duo while she’s changing clothes. To save him from being viewed as a hoodlum, Duo Duo decides to marry Da Bao.

After the September 18 Incident of 1931, calls for resistance against Japan grew. Feng Yuxiang and Ji Hongchang, along with Wu Chengfang of the Communist Party, worked to form the Anti-Japanese Allied Army in Zhangjiakou. Ji, influenced by the Communists, joined the Party and became a leader of the Allied Army. The movement gained broad support, but Chiang Kai-shek and the Japanese launched a campaign against them. Despite the challenges, Ji Hongchang continued his efforts to resist Japanese aggression and save the nation.
The mayor of a town is framed for the suspicious death of a military guard. When more deaths of military guards occur, rumors of killing vampires spread fear into the town, pushing a young Taoist priest and autipist to investigate.
The Kindhearted and Bitter
Due to his rebellious nature, Law Fei suffered a traumatic childhood with abuse and maltreatment from his bad-tempered but famous sculptor father. The dark childhood turned Law Fei into a weirdo frequently tormented by the pain of childhood memories as well as hallucination of his dead father. Law Fei betrayed his father's artistic career and chose to become a magician and performer of extremities instead, to prove his own capabilities. During one of his death-defying show, Law Fei was seriously wounded by shocks of his childhood nightmares. Not knowing the truth behind it, his girlfriend thought he was stretching his physical strength too far. She therefore took him to a quiet retreat in the suburb to recuperate. On a windy moonless night, the five of them went through a terrifying catastrophe.
