Five different people at different times of their lives bond at a wedding after being seated together at the singles table. After a few too many drinks, the solution to all of their problems seems to be buying a five-bedroom house together.

Sam, a seemingly poised and glamorous real estate agent in a small mountain community, is revealed to be an unhinged and troubled alcoholic with a dark secret, when a charismatic man named Peter shows up in town one day. As she tries to keep her life from unravelling, an older co-worker named Brenda is targeted by Peter for information at the behest of his powerful and shadowy boss, Mr. Lock.

Ashley, a fierce friend to Mandy, takes the phrase "hurt my friend and I'll kill you" to the extreme. As the bodies stack up, her mistakes haunt her as Mandy tries to dig up old wounds.

The Target is about how different types of bullying affects different types of people of different ages. Arav deals with bullying in a detrimental way, leaving his family and friends bewildered. People find themselves reflecting about their own current bullying experiences.
