A mother tells her daughter the fairy tale of a little girl named Karanfil Kız to help her fall asleep. According to the tale, Karanfil Kız goes to the cinema with her father, but she falls asleep in the movie theater. When she wakes up, she learns that her father is missing and begins to search for him.

District Governor Behçet and his screenwriter wife Ilgın settle in a village where the villagers are pressuring them to drain a water canal into which their children have fallen and drowned. Behçet denies his responsibility for the incident and blames the villagers for the deaths of the children, while Ilgın stays out of everything and sees what happened as the material for a screenplay. The villagers are determined to avenge their children.

A documentary film crew follows İskender, who was proclaimed as the chosen one according to a prophecy by Nostradamus. İskender attemps to break world records as Rolling an orange with his nose, Most eggs crushed with the head, etc. Unfortunately he fails again and again. His failure makes him stopped thinking logically. And he decided to break the world record for longest love making. The question is; is he really the chosen one? Let's assume he is, was he chosen for the world records he's trying to break? Or is he special in some other way?
