Modern historical and documentary series of investigations and research dedicated to famous figures of national history. The creators of the project involved about 150 experts from Ukraine and the world, traveled to 9 countries and found interesting facts that now allow us to rediscover history. In the 8-episode project you will learn more about the lives of Simon Petliura, Andrei Sheptytsky, Mykhailo Hrushevsky, Danylo Halytsky, Roksolana, Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Ivan Mazepa and Anna Kyivska.

It's the late 1980s and the once seemingly undying Soviet Union is beginning to show signs of collapse, leaving thousands of members of the Ukrainian diaspora in the US and Canada with a chance of returning to the home they have always dreamed of living in. Afraid for their lives, but fueled by patriotism, thousands of them venture to Europe in order to provide the support to their friends relatives and their countrymen through times of crisis and violent protests, culminating in the last 99 days of the USSR and the birth of an independant Ukrainian nation.

Together with the daughter of Ukrainian archaeologist Volodymyr Hrinchenko, the project team reveals facts about the history of Rus. The project also recreates the face of Yaroslav the Wise.

Together with the granddaughter of the repressed Ukrainian ethnographer Anton Onishchuk, the project team is uncovering the facts surrounding his death. With the help of forensic experts, the project created a hypothetical portrait of Hetman Ivan Mazepa and recreated the appearance of Prince Yaroslav the Wise's wife, Ingerda.
