As the only flower Yağmur has on her balcony, a peace lily starts to fade away, her friend tells Yağmur an old myth: Peace lilies cannot blossom when they are alone. Yağmur and the flower start to share the same path when they both blossom out of their loneliness.

1979, Turkey: While the mood on the streets of Ankara is charged with tension shortly before the military coup, a young brother and sister lose themselves in imaginative games. When Darth Vader suddenly appears on their doorstep, time and space become blurred.

In a secluded village, the sudden collapse of the state leaves villagers unable to divide the land they once farmed together. As tensions rise, the elder recalls a legend of a buried deed said to reveal the true owner of the land.

30 years ago, the Gagauzian minority living in the northern regions of the Black Sea was left abandoned in the middle of colliding political powers of European Union, Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Turkey. Today, Gagauzians have nothing other than their bonds to each other. The Fountain is about the ceasing culture and language of the Gagauz people. It portrays the effects of the rise and fall of the Soviet Union on different generations while displaying the consequences of the vast social assimilation by following the daily lives of local families. The tradition of the Gagauz community is unique and preserved almost intact for centuries. However, it is rapidly fading now, as the elderly pass away. Unfortunately, the fountain flows weaker and weaker through the new generations.

This short documentary portrays a typical day of a Turkish farmer woman who lives in the village of Kozan, Adapazarı, Turkey. The film follows her everyday activities while also portraying her own opinions about her life.
