Based on the novel by Naguib Mahfouz (The Harafish), the series presents the biography of the popular hero Ashour Al-Naji and his family, as he represents a symbol of principles, values, justice, mercy and fairness to the simple.

Al-Gama'a is an Egyptian television drama, Historical and Political drama series written by Wahid Hamid, directed by Mohammed Yasin and produced by Kamel Abu Ali. The series began filming in January 2010 with a budget of 50 million Egyptian pounds. The show deals with the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt’s largest Islamist political group, which was officially banned but nonetheless tolerated to an extent before the revolution. Critics have decried the show's pro-government stance, charging that it plays into the Egyptian government's agenda prior to the 2010 Egyptian parliamentary elections.

The events of the series revolve around the story of the rise from the bottom to the top of Abdel Ghafour Al Borai (Noor Al Sharif), starting from the agency of Hajj Ibrahim Sardinah (Abdul Rahman Abu Zahra) until he becomes a private business owner who makes a fortune, during which he has admired Fatima (Abla Kamel), a saleswoman. Al-Kushari, whom he admired, passes the days and marries Fatima and gives birth to his son Abdel-Wahhab (Mohamed Riyad), and four girls (Sunni, Bahira, Nafisa, and Nazira), and despite the availability of the elements of happiness in the life of Abdel Ghafour Al-Borai, he suffered from the separation of his only son. About him, and Abdel Wahab's insistence on building a very special world away from his father and his influence.

A crook manages to evade capture for a long time as he switches between various identities that make it difficult for the police to catch him. As he is finally caught by the police officer who has spent his life chasing him, both of them are changed forever by a series of events.

When the young lawyer (Ali) receives a call from an unknown person, threatening that he has what may destroy his reputation, the events get complicated especially with the presence of many family problems that intersect with each other. Through out the series the question remains,who is that caller and what exactly does he want?

The story of Metwalli who started his life from nothing, working for a textile merchant who trusted him a lot. After the merchant's death, Metwali marries his widow and soon controls her entire wealth. He becomes one of the biggest textiles merchants, and then marries one wife after another.

The series discusses the character of Hamada Ezzo, the reckless polygamous man. He's unable to take responsibility,because of his mother's excessive spoiling. He's confronted with the reality of life and its problems as he gets older, while his cousin Nawal tries to make him an organized person.

When an apothecary and his wife have trouble conceiving, the wife encourages her husband to marry a maid to beget him children. Ironically, the two women get pregnant at the same time.

Set in a remote traditional village, a drama about Khalaf Allah (Nour El-Sherif), a dignified man beloved by the people because of his ability to predict strange events happening in the village. It also deals with the revolutions occurring across the Arab countries.

After the father, Abdo, passes sixty, he retires from his job. He starts discovering new things about his four children, while his children realize that they've drifted away from their father, and that they'll always need him like he needs them.

In Al-Batniya neighborhood, a drug dealer owns a wood factory as a cover for his drug trading. His daughter marries a police officer against his will, while his son falls in love with a poor girl whom he marries in secret. But when his father wants to separate them, she seeks revenge.

Bassiouni leads a drug smuggling gang from Greece after settling in Athens, and the security services seek to arrest him upon his arrival in Cairo. The chief of detectives (Rabie) finds through his investigations that Bassiouni had an affair with a beautiful widow named Nour who suffers from her daughter's heroin addiction. Rabea asks Nour to cooperate with the police to catch Bassiouni.

Amal raises her brother Nasr after the death of her father and husband in an Israeli raid on Suez in 1956. Nasr grows up and joins the Egyptian intelligence and travels to Greece to obtain an important microfilm, but he disappears after being kidnapped. However, he manages to hide the microfilm. Amal decides to travel to Greece to search for her brother. Both the Egyptian intelligence and the Israeli intelligence (Mossad) monitor Amal to obtain the microfilm, and the events of the film continue.

The series gives us true historical stories about great noble judges in Islamic history.

This satirical comedy revolves around a man called Salama who gets out of prison after being charged with theft. He searches for work, which he finds as a nurse for an old man. Old habits die hard; Salama plots to take advantage of his work to steal again.

Set in the early 1940s, when the rich controlled the land and the peasants lived on subsistence, the work addresses the conflict between the classes. It also discusses the idea that when a person is controlled by evil and the idea of revenge, he is often the first victim.

Zaki is a poor person who works as a public transport agent.His family treats him with contempt. He tries to evacuate his apartment by force. When a serial killer strikes, the victims descriptions as applying to Zaki, who is arrested by the police. Despite proving his innocence, people escape from him and treat him with fear for believing that he is the beast. Zaki tries to reach the beast to solve his problems.
