Biography
Dorion Thomas Gray Ramsey is a Metis and Italian-Canadian writer, poet, and filmmaker from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Born in the Saskatchewan city of Regina, Ramsey began his film-making career in 2019, writing the script for his debut feature film, Sekoe. Ramsey currently resides in the city of Saskatoon, and considers himself an Indigenous and environmental activist. Born with the surname Ramsey, he switched his last name to Zambuchini (after his father) to honour his Italian heritage, before later changing his surname preference back to Ramsey. His family, hailing from the Duck Mountain and Swan River outpost and Metis community, still primarily resides in the province of Manitoba.
