Pregnant Malin have no where to go, when her boyfriend breaks up. As a last resort she seeks up her father Martin, even tho they never met. But then before Malin get to tell who she is. Martin gets a stroke and when he wake up he dont remember who he is.

The opera performance compellingly combines four Verdi operas based on Friedrich Schiller's plays - Don Carlo, I masnadieri, Luisa Miller and Giovanna d’Arco - into a reflection on the many faces of love caught up in political power games.
