Biography
Stephen Dela Peña is a young filmmaker and creative director from Angono, Rizal undertaking his degree in BA Communication at Far Eastern University-Manila. He intends to break conventional storytelling by incorporating avant–garde elements; aiming to investigate the boundary between metaphysical and material subjects. He exhibits a profound liking for surrealistic treatments and the meta-narrative, building upon more unconventional storytelling methods. "Dumula ng Isa, Dalawa, Tatlo...," a surreal short film that explores the theatrical artifice, marks his directorial debut, garnering accolades of 'Best Director' and the esteemed 'Special Jury Award' at the Likhang Mulat Film Festival 2023.
