Biography
A Scottish BAFTA nominee, Stuart MacLeod has created some of the most controversial magic on television, played to sell out crowds all over the world and racked up millions of views online. Executive producer on the recent Netflix smash “Magic for Humans” and star of many hit shows in the UK including BBC’s “The Magicians”, Stuart appeared as an expert judge on CBS’s primetime show, “The World’s Best”, alongside James Corden, Drew Barrymore, Faith Hill, and Rupaul. As half of the critically acclaimed UK double act Barry and Stuart, the duo have a devoted fan following and are known for their comically dark performing style and unique brand of twisted magic. Their award winning mix of humor and subversive performances have received rave 5-star reviews at Edinburgh Fringe and Just for Laughs, and saw them crowned winners of ITV’s “The Next Great Magician.” Born and raised in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Stuart now resides in Los Angeles. He runs a production company with his wife, Jenni Melear and wears his kilt whenever he gets the chance.

The Magicians was a British family entertainment television show, first broadcast throughout January 2011 on BBC One. The show features magicians performing a number of magic tricks with guest celebrities, to decide which pair will face a forfeit trick at the end of the episode. In the first series, this was decided through audience participation, however, for the second series, a phone vote was introduced. The first series was hosted by Lenny Henry, and featured magicians Luis de Matos, Barry and Stuart and Chris Korn. At the end of series 1, Luis de Matos was deemed series champion.
