Practical semester at the Halle/Saale Police College: Finally out of the seminar rooms and into real life - which for the students means: real murder cases. With the support of their trainers in the homicide squad, they will have to solve this. The beginners sometimes overshoot the mark, make mistakes and have to learn new things on their way to becoming fully qualified detectives. In each episode, a case between the university and real life is dissected, discussed and solved, while the private complications of the students, lecturers and trainers are not neglected.

A couple, a mother, a body activist - they all earn their money on an Internet platform for pornographic content: "WatchMe". While Tim (Michelangelo Fortuzzi) tries to live up to the great ambitions of his boyfriend Josh (Simon Mantei), Toni (Anna Werner Friedmann) lives out a previously undiscovered side of her. Although she now feels electrified, she is also confronted with prejudice. The feminist plus-size activist Malaika (Maddy Forst), on the other hand, wants to benefit at least financially from the sexualization she is exposed to every day anyway - according to her own rules. But she quickly has to ask herself whether this is even possible.

“If the ghosts can visit our time, we can visit theirs”. This freewheeling tour of German history of the 20th and 21st centuries follows a postmodern artist back to her East German village birthplace – where a discovered skeleton opens up mysteries both personal and political.

Prague 1942. The city is occupied by German troops. As the end of the war and the advancing Russian army comes ever nearer, the Czech chief inspector Beran and his assistant Jan Morava are hunting a serial killer. During his investigation, every step Morava takes is observed by Gestapo man Erwin Buback. Buback’s brief is to report to his Nazi superior Meckerle how closely the Prague police is linked to the Czech resistance movement. Then the Soviet troops reach Prague and in the armed rising against the occupiers even the most innocent become murderers.

Anne lives in a small village in Brandenburg, ready to snap at anyone who crosses her. Erik and his best friend Sebastian are two teenagers in a small town on the German border that once ran between East and West. Their parents are struggling with their own demons and they are bullied at school. Life doesn't seem to offer the two outsiders any perspective either. And so they start planning their revenge on their tormentors and do shooting exercises with the old NVA rifle of Erik's father. Driven by a voice from the swamp, Erik increasingly drifts into the darkness. Only when he meets a young punk girl his world suddenly turn upside down. And so he has to choose between what makes him happy and his dark thoughts, which seem inseparable from his friendship with Sebastian. But in a world of violence, there is inevitably an escalation that will shake the foundations of the small village on the edge of the former German-German border forever.
