When 10-year-old Alyosha visits his grandfather in the countryside for the holidays, he learns a lot about the Feast of the Ascension, the lives of the pioneers of modern space exploration, the deep connection between the physical and spiritual aspects of human existence, and the journey that leads to God and true faith. These newfound insights transform the boy's inner world and his perspective on the fundamentals of life.

The events take place at the beginning of the 20th century. A spoiled girl is passionate about the dream of beautiful shoes. But gradually, events and a meeting with new characters develop in such a way that little Anyuta's heart begins to empathize and feel the pain of another person.
