The first time you hear it, it doesn't seem like a big deal. The word is strange and the tone in which it was used could be offensive. In the village the word soon spreads and as it passes from mouth to mouth it becomes heavier and takes on a markedly offensive character. As the village gets angrier, all the small misunderstandings in everyday life become serious business. There is only one solution: exposing the cases and their origin - the word barely heard and poorly said - which, today, in the village, is the most devastating offense that can be thrown at our greatest enemy.

An adaptation of the short story with the same name by Portuguese writer Teófilo de Braga.

A story from a time when mystery made all the difference and where the most subtle sense of observation reigns supreme. It all begins with the death of the Swimmer, discovered at the edge of the cliff. But to this day, it is not known who fired the fatal shot, despite a thorough investigation by the Judicial Police, with special attention given to three girls—two sisters and a friend—who are there on vacation. But the doubt remains, and the inspector who conducted the investigation wonders, because the three seemingly naive teenagers leave the inspector with the conviction that, between their statements and their father's assertive maturity, it will be difficult to prove what his instinct tells him.

A TV movie inspired by the work of renowned writer Luísa Costa Gomes. The story of Maria do Carmo, a successful woman in advertising and communications, with a carefully constructed life that crumbles when she is unexpectedly summoned to the Logical Surveillance Center. Without any explanation, Maria do Carmo finds herself trapped in an indefinite wait, confronted with others who have been there for years, with no clear reason and no visible way out. Her professional and personal responsibilities drive her to despair and protest, as she seeks to anticipate the solution to her problems, even if it forces her to go beyond all limits. But the system provides no answers and punishes those who demand them.

The film tells us how university vacations changed our protagonist's life. The vacations took him home, as they did every year, but that year he was overcome by the vertigo of passion, culminating in a marriage proposal. Everything turns out to be ephemeral, misleading, where the betrayal of his closest friend may, after all, stem solely from his characteristic recklessness. But the reasons don't matter, what matters are the actions and their interpretation by each of the characters, which lead to the supreme act of love... and revenge.
