Benny Andersen

A moving portrait of one of the most loved and read Danish poets, Halfdan Rasmussen. The film covers both the early years with poverty and wartime on to success and the humorous nonsense verses that has made Rasmussen one of the most read authors in Denmark.

The film is typically an experimental film and has no intention of reporting from Dissing's tour. It makes use of e.g. double exposures (multiple images copied on top of each other) and fragmentary sound clips to capture the moods of the traveling musicians.
