Biography
Caitlin McCarthy, a storyteller of documented Métis descent, crafts narratives that confront political and social issues with wit, blending humor and heartbreak while driving compelling action. She is the screenwriter of LITTLE AUDREY, a supernatural spiritual mystery currently in production with Michael Mailer directing and producing, starring Emily VanCamp, Jennifer Esposito, and Aidan Quinn. Caitlin was an inaugural Sundance Institute Cultural Impact Fellow for her crime thriller A NATIVE LAND. She developed WONDER DRUG as an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation screenplay at the HamptonsFilm Screenwriters Lab; the project is now in development with Lori Singer (FOOTLOOSE, RACHEL HENDRIX) as director and co-writer. Additionally, Caitlin co-created the television series GAELS with Lynsey Murdoch (BBC SCOTTISH VOICES 2020), supported by the Scottish Government and the National Lottery through Creative Scotland. Caitlin holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and is represented by Barry Krost Management.
