When the school year starts at Barra Secondary school, a big artistic contest is launched to find the new talents of tomorrow. All students are excited, but a string of mysterious disappearances preceded by cyberbullying will disturb this cheerful excitement and divide the students. Everyone has something to hide, so everyone could be the next one to disappear...

Dr. Wilfred Manz performs a magical experiment on a beetle-shaped amulet. His patience exhausted, he smashes his fist into some bottles and a few drops of blood fall onto the scarab. His laboratory is rocked by an explosion, the god Khepera appears and Manz is transformed into a demi-god magician. Thirty years later, Manz has assumed the name Khepera and lives in mysterious castle. Using his magical powers, he is killing heads of government and causing the collapse of major financial institutions. Jack Murphy, an American correspondent, witnesses the pandemonium following the suicide of the Spanish prime minister and notices an attractive nurse, Elena, take a small scarab which has fallen from the prime minister's lapel. Later, he visits an occult shop where the scarab is identified as being associated with the Egyptian god, Khepera. Murphy is captured and Elena — who was tricked into sacrificing her brother when they were children — once more takes up the sacrificial dagger...

In a small Portuguese village in the late 1960s, a young priest sides with the population in their struggle for better living and working conditions. Following complaints from the industrialist who employs most of the village's population, the bishop decides to transfer the priest to another parish. When the people learn of his forced departure, they revolt and unite to prevent the priest from leaving the village.

At his girlfriend's family's formal dinner, Mateus, an anxious young man, attempts to conceal his secret from the bizarre family members who suspect him.

A woman, who as a child exchanged kisses as if playing a game, remembers, now elderly, the night she killed her love with a little kiss. As an analogy, she says that she caught a rare and special blue shrimp and took it to her fishbowl. Young, she fell in love with a boy after a night of drinking, and questioned the relationship she had with the love of her life. Between memories, it is not understandable what happened, what was or wasn't done, nor what she wanted. At the end of the night, she went to bed next to her boyfriend, but in her dreams she confessed and woke up alone. As an elderly woman, she still experiences this loneliness, and ends the story saying that the water in the fishbowl was not good, and the shrimp died.
