Finally, Tabung establishes the cooperative and the villagers gain the courage to fight off Jontro. Jontro now loses his livelihood so he begins to extort from Mardi, whose parents owe him money. Then Mardi comes to his senses. So does Jontro's right hand, Sadar. In the end, Sadar and Jontro have a face-off, and both are killed in the brawl.
