Home Sweet Home is a mini series about the underprivileged children in Taiwan, who are deprived of basic family functions, with ill, deceased, abusive, imprisoned or financially unsustainable parents. The series is a co-production of several charitable organizations and New Story Movement, in hope to raise awareness through storytelling and help both the children and caregiver receive the social support and resources needed.

The sudden pregnancy and miscarriage of a young woman results in a turbulent day of anxiety and loneliness, set in a monumental day of a country’s search for hope.  

Entering and leaving prison is not unfamiliar to Kaizi, but this time is somewhat different. His girlfriend is pregnant, and the unlucky lot he drew makes Kaizi, who is about to lose his freedom, feel uneasy and fearful. He hopes to be part of his child's growth and wishes that everything remains unchanged when he is released.
