“One Of Us” follows Latvia-born athletes – wrestler Anastasija Grigorjeva, veteran gymnast Igors Vihrovs, and up-and-coming figure skater Deniss Vasiļjevs. Being of non-Latvian ethnicity, they are sometimes treated as ‘others’ by native Latvians, who welcome them into their ranks only when they’ve shown astonishing results.

There are about 250 people with a unique ancestry. Livonians – one of the smallest and most endangered nations. Each of Livonians has a duty to preserve their identity and the great history of their ancestors. Trillium follows the footsteps of a poet and researcher Valts Ernštreits, who is one of 20 people able to speak fluent Livonian – an indigenous language related to Estonian and Finnish – in his efforts to look after the language and culture of these ancient settlers of the Baltic Sea coast.

A story of the journey to success of a young sportswoman who, with the support of her family and great determination, has already become the best Latvian skier of all time and is gradually moving towards her goal - to be among the best cross-country skiers in the world. The film documents the gruelling training, tough competition, sweat, tears and responsibility to her loving family. The film is about a woman who wants to reach the top and is willing to pay the ultimate price by dedicating her youth to the sports.

This documentary tells the story of the daily life of the players and technical team of the Latvian Continental Hockey League (KHL) club Riga Dinamo during the 2012 season away games in the Gagarin Cup in the Russian cities of Omsk, Magnitogorsk and Khanty-Mansiysk. The film provides a glimpse into the game from the perspective of the players and technical team, starting with pre-game events, the course of the game, and ending with the victories or losses of the hockey game. The film captures all the emotions experienced by the players, which can be seen in the "live" commentary, both on the bench, during the games, and in the locker rooms.
