Billy Joe lives in a small town and his biggest dream is to become a famous country musician. All he wants is to participate in the Bauska Country Festival, forgetting about the needs of his girlfriend and reality as such.

Trying to make a professional impression, the teacher of the 9th grade Dārta organises a parents' school meeting, but the parents' childish behaviour turns the gathering into a disaster, becoming the biggest challenge of Dārta's career so far. The new teacher prepares for the meeting, while the parents arrive late - so does the businessman Jānis, the president of the parent's school council Žanete arrives with flowers and a gift; the spouses of an open marriage Valts and Laine playing "truth or dare", while the recently divorced Maija and Raivo exchange barbs. The planning of the children's graduation turns into an absurd escalation of conflicts between the parents.

Cleo is a once promising actress in her 30s with a career in theatre that’s going nowhere and a boyfriend who still harbours the dream of becoming a famous rockstar. Cleo tries to turn her life around, but her co-dependent boyfriend starts to slip back into his old, self-destructive ways, and the director wants from the actress more than just her talent.

In this short musical, Kristīne, a young Music Academy graduate, has been offered to conduct two male choirs that are very different from each other. Akmins is a friendly countryside choir of older gentlemen, while Bāliņš is a choir of hip and slightly snobbish young guys.
