Registration of the Dutch musical 'Maskerade'. The story takes place in 1910 and is about Bastiaan de Geer (Jos Brink) who, in order to impress Miss Mariëtte van Heusden Hurgonje, tells everyone that he is of noble descent, reluctantly helped by his friend, couturier Sandor Petri (Frank Sanders). Because Bastiaan's mother is actually a housekeeper for Sandor Petri, Bastiaan disguises himself as Dowager de Geer in order to keep up appearances for Mariëtte. The masquerade is further intensified and Bastiaan is forced to also pretend to be an ex-resident of the Indies and as his own butler.

Recording of the Dutch musical. The story takes place in 1939, just before German troops invade Warsaw, on board the Nieuw Amsterdam, a ship of the Holland-America Line. The Jewish magician Benjamin Benjamins flees from the threat of Hitler's new regime. On the ship he meets stowaway Fanny Janssen. Benjamins helps Janssen to hide from the ship's crew, who know that there is a stowaway on board. Meanwhile, the news about the threat of World War II slowly seeps into the ship.

Hazeke -the daughter of innkeeper Tapmans- marries Paul - the sun of a rich industrialist called Conti. Hazeke learns that her husband used to hang out a lot with a certain Mary.

Registration of the Dutch musical. Claartje van Dijk (Simone Kleinsma) is a successful television presenter who wants to divorce her husband, Bob van Dijk (Jos Brink), a third-rate writer without inspiration. However, they continue to live in the same house and Bob decides to separate the living room with a white line (the equator). Soon both Claartje and Bob try to poke each other's eyes out with various lovers.

Cyriel Buysse depicts the downfall of a small East Flanders farmer and his household, at the turn of the century, in a time commonly called la belle époque, which was only nice for the ruling upper crust of chateau lords and their friends.
