A historical, fictionalized documentary film telling the story of the first Polish emancipated women, whose efforts, persistence, and consistency led Józef Piłsudski to sign a decree on women's suffrage on November 28, 1918. It shows their difficult struggle for access to education and paid work, their commitment to regaining independence, and their steadfastness in spreading the ideas of freedom and emancipation. It emphasizes the fact that Poland was one of the first countries in the world where women obtained full voting rights.

Jan, the café pianist, comes from the countryside. The talented boy was taken care of by an old organist. Jan then studied at the conservatory, where he made friends with Paweł, an undisciplined but very talented composer. Paweł's works gain publicity abroad, but he himself, unable to bear human envy and accept the loss of his beloved girl, commits suicide ... Jan's father dies, and soon his mother ...

The story of a valued professor named Szop. One day, a scientist commissions a routine study. A computer analysis shows that, on the basis of the study that Szop is dead. The professor and his colleague, Swalski, try to explain the unusual result.
