Biography
Mario González Jiménez grew up in León, Mexico. He has a degree in Communication from Universidad Iberoamericana León and studied a Master in Narrative Film at Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV), in Cuba. His first short film as a director, "Bastardos Desterrados" won the student documentary competition Identidad y Pertenencia at Guanajuato International Film Festival in 2018 and was awarded an honorable mention at DOQUMENTA. His short films have competed in festivals such as Palm Springs International ShortFest, Shorts Mexico, Buenos Aires International Documentary Film Festival and New York Latino Film Festival. He currently works as a high school teacher and filmmaker.
