Julia, wife of a wealthy lord living near the Iguazu Falls, has nightmares for several days. The lord builds a fence to ward off the indigenous people, the Guarani tribe, but Julia is still anxious about her son Manuel’s safety. One day Manuel suddenly disappears, and when searching for him, Julia runs into her maid, Kerana, who was believed to have died one year before, under the falls.

Manuel lives with his father, Ricardo, on the family's hunting estate. Manu is a special boy with a strange connection to the mountains that makes him the best hunter in the area. But he no longer wants to kill. An accidental shooting that nearly kills his best friend, coupled with the suspicion that his father is a murderer, compels him to flee the estate to free himself. He soon learns that his unerring aim is the only thing that can prevent Ricardo from being killed.

The story revolves around Joao, a boy from a jungle village, who must brutally become a soldier when Estanislao, a psychically altered commander, takes away his childhood and shows him just how far human cruelty can go.

Nelson, a teenager who drops out of school to smuggle mobile phones on the border between Argentina and Brazil, is caught by the police and forced to work as an informant. As part of his mission he will have to move to a neighboring city, attend a new school and get close to the daughters of Jara, an alleged drug trafficking boss. During the operation, he will have to live with a conflictive gendarme and learn to resolve his differences in a world of lies, love and betrayal.
