Adam Kruk, a 40 year old police officer addicted to painkillers and psychotropic drugs, returns to the town he grew up in to find the paedophile who abused his friend Slawek years ago. Once there, he is unexpectedly called to investigate a new case: the kidnapping of a powerful man's grandson, which he undertakes to help set him free from his past mistakes. As he was unable to protect Slawek, he sees this case as a second chance to protect a child and an opportunity for justice. Adam must control the darkest corners of his mind to solve the kidnapping and as the case unfolds, he discovers answers which will reveal an unexpected link between these two cases.

What was meant to be a carefree weekend quickly descends into terror, as the supposedly secure house becomes a deadly trap.

When the Rent A Life company holds auditions at Olaf’s school, he doesn’t hesitate for a moment. He has every intention of being cast as a friend at a birthday party for a little girl from a rich family. It quickly turns out that the cost of taking part in the illusion is a high one.

On a Warsaw construction site, out of the blue, a stretch of highway appears. Sober after a month-long party, the workers can't explain the phenomenon. The case is taken over by the Space Research Agency. At the same time, various residents of the capital experience an identical obsession - they see trash cans in everything. Affected by this obsession, Rockman tries to commit suicide. He reaches his own inner self, where he finds answers regarding the mythical history of mankind and the tragedy that has befallen it.
