Biography
Sebastian Molina Ruiz (Mexico City, 1995) is a filmmaker who studied Art History at Universidad Iberoamericana and Cinematography at the CCC. He is a graduate of the Doc Nomads master’s program and has participated in Talents Guadalajara (2022) and Berlinale Talents (2025). His documentary Las Hostilidades won awards at FICM and FICUNAM and was selected at IDFA and Hot Docs. His short film Mátalos a todos premiered at Locarno, MoMA New Directors/New Films, and Morelia. His latest work, A Rosa Nasce Nas Pedras, won Best Ibero-American Short Film at FICG and screened at Havana and Málaga.
